Oakstead Community Development District located in Land O’ Lakes, FL was an asphalt pavement, milling, and resurfacing project recently completed by FAC. Beginning in February 2019, the project consisted of roughly 138,897 SY of resurfacing, and around 7,639 Tons of SP 9.5 asphalt. The community has 9 different neighborhoods and a central clubhouse, bringing the total to 10 different paving locations. Safety is one of Florida Asphalt’s main priorities. We worked together with the CDD to make sure the residents of each neighborhood were aware of the road work being done in their area. Florida Asphalt’s team worked closely with the engineering group, Stantec, to ensure that the job was executed to the CDD’s expectations and completed on schedule despite some untimely weather conditions. We were able to complete the project by April 1, 2019.
